EPA adds three increased-risk disinfectants (Maquat 11-25, KC-644, and Electrilyte) to “List N”

Today the EPA added three disinfectants to “List N”. Three of the disinfectants (Maquat 11-25, KC-644, and Electrilyte) are considered increased-risk.

Two of the increased-risk disinfectants contain quaternary ammonium as an active ingredient and one product contains hypochlorous acid as an active ingredient. All three of these disinfectants are used on hard nonporous surfaces.

Maquat 11-25, KC-644, and Electrilyte all are considered able to kill a harder-to-kill pathogen than SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19).
