EPA adds one safer disinfectant (HP-Wipe-36) and one increased-risk disinfectant (So White 7.5%) to “List N”
Today the EPA added two disinfectants to “List N”. One of the disinfectants (HP-Wipe-36) is considered safer and the other So White 7.5%, is considered increased-risk.
HP-Wipe-36 uses hydrogen peroxide, a safer active ingredient. So White 7.5% uses sodium hypochlorite, an increased risk disinfectant.
Both new additions to the list are used in Healthcare, Institutional, and Residential facilities. They are both used on hard non-porous surfaces.
