EPA adds two increased-risk disinfectants (Emu, and DoxyKlor DK5G) to “List N”

Today the EPA added two increased-risk products to List N. The first is Emu from W.M. Barr & Company Inc, and the second is DoxyKlor DK5G from PI Industries Inc. Both are ready-to-use sprays approved for use on hard nonporous surfaces.

Both contain ingredients that are hazardous to human health, and have recent pesticide registration sheets that include language such as “If person is not breathing, call 911 or an ambulance then give artificial respiration,” and, “Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco or using the toilet.”

A product from PI Industries Inc is appearing for the first time on List N, while W.M. Barr & Company Inc has four additional List N products. (UPDATE: on June 15, W.M. Barr added another increased-risk disinfectant to the list, totalling six on the list.)
