EPA adds three increased-risk disinfectants (Bio-Spear Sanitizing Wipes, Thorn, Hyposhield 1000) to “List N”

Today the EPA added three disinfectants to “List N”. All three of the newly added disinfectants (Bio-Spear Sanitizing Wipes, Thorn, Hyposhield 1000) are considered increased-risk.

The first two of the disinfectants (Bio-Spear Sanitizing Wipes, Thorn) contain quaternary ammonium while the third (Hyposhield 1000) contains Hypochlorous acid as an active ingredient.

All three disinfectants work on hard non-porous surfaces and are used in Healthcare, Institutional, and Residential facilities.
